Meet Our Dentist
Robert K. Gildner, DMD
Dr. Gildner grew up in the Irmo area as the oldest of 4 boys. His brothers Michael, Luke and Mitchell are still his best friends. He describes his parents (Bob and Cathy Gildner) as AMAZING and from time to time, you may see Bob working with him at Gildner Family Dentistry.
After attending Irmo high school (and playing wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets), Dr. G received his BS in Biology at the University of Clemson. He went on to attend dental school at MUSC and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2012. After graduating from dental school Dr Gildner moved to Chicago where he worked as an Associate Dentist and had the opportunity to learn from some of the best dental mentors the profession has to offer. It was Dr Gildner’s desire to open his own practice where he could apply this knowledge in a hometown family environment.
In 2017 Dr Gildner moved back to South Carolina and opened Gildner Family Dentistry of Lexington. Personalized, one-on-one time is something you can expect at each appointment with Dr. Gildner. His passion in dentistry lies in educating his patients, answering their questions, and providing high quality treatment. He strives to treat his patients with compassion and respect while focusing communication to ensure complete understanding before, during and after all dental treatments. Dr Gildner works together with his patients to achieve a shared goal of oral health for each patient and unique care based on their specific concerns, motivations and lifestyles.
Dr Gildner is married to the love of his life Angel Gildner. God has blessed them with two wonderful daughters Daphne and Esme, and one son Sonny. God is truly good, His will be done! When Dr. G is not performing his dental craft, he is learning what a remarkable gift it is to be a remarkable dad. Dr. G and his wife share a passion for spirituality, fitness, health and nutrition. Dr Gildner also loves college football and can be found any fall Saturday cheering on his Clemson Tigers!
Meet Our Team
Allison Ard, Registered Dental Hygienist
Allison Ard graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Midlands Technical College in 2020. Before going to Dental Hygiene school, she worked as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant for 11 years. Allison comes from a “dental family”, her grandfather was a dentist in North Carolina. Her favorite part about working in the Dental Field is building relationships with her patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental chair. When Allison is not in the dental office she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, along with cheering on the Clemson Tigers!
Kelly Rominger, Office Manager & Director of Marketing
Kelly Rominger graduated with her Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Certification from Midlands Technical College in 2020. After receiving her certification from the MTC Dental Assisting Program, she went on to obtain her Dental Assisting National Board Certification and her Monitor Nitrous Oxide Anesthesia Certification from the South Carolina State Board of Dentistry to best serve her patients throughout all their dental needs. She is married to her long-time best friend, is very active in her Church, and has two dogs. A native to South Carolina, she enjoys spending her free time reading, traveling, and visiting the beach as often as she can.
